A new survey from Novo Nordisk, called INFORM, has revealed that people taking semaglutide for weight management, marketed as Wegovy, have experienced a significant reduction in “food noise.” Food noise refers to intrusive thoughts about food that can negatively affect a person’s mental well-being and weight loss efforts. According to the survey, the percentage of people experiencing constant food noise dropped from 62% to 16% after starting Wegovy treatment.
Boosted Mental Well-being and Healthier Lifestyles
The survey findings also highlighted a broader range of positive effects beyond just weight loss. 64% of respondents reported an improvement in their mental health since starting the treatment. Additionally, a significant majority of individuals said they had developed a healthier lifestyle (76%) and healthier habits (80%). The results underscore that Wegovy’s benefits may extend to improving a person’s overall quality of life by helping to quiet disruptive thoughts about food.
